November 10 - Reporting Tips to Your Employer
If you’re an employee who earns tips and have received more than $20 in tips during October 2025, ensure that you report them to your employer using IRS Form 4070 by November 10. It’s imperative as FICA taxes and income tax deductions are applicable to these earnings. Should your regular wages fall short in covering these withholdings, your employer will detail the uncollected amount in Box 8 of your annual W-2 form. You will then need to account for this when you file your annual tax return.
